21st

Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to sit down with Edward Trask of Richmond to help design a series of murals that he will be painting on Ellwood Thompsons. It’s been pretty neat to sit down with him and throw around ideas, concepts, and images. He always brings incredible stuff to the table.
If you don’t know Ed Tasks’ art work around Richmond, just look on the sides of some of your favorite local restaurants like Kuba Kuba, Sidewalk Cafe, Red Salon, the inside of DeLuxe, Bang-On, the Border, Chop Suey, etc. If you still don’t recognize his work, maybe you should go to Amsterdam where he has 6 completed murals done.
Still not ringing a bell? Have you ever heard of the Richmond punk group known as Avail? Well, Ed is the drummer of that legendary group as well as Kepone, Smalltown Superstar, and Holy Rollers.
Ed is really an amazing guy. He just had a kid with his lovely wife, still rides a bike, still gets tattooed and never stops drumming and painting. In fact this guy is so gnarly, Juxtapoz, Giant Robot, and Scion flew him to L.A. last week to surf, feel the effects of earthquakes and paint another mural. Check it out.

Was browzing through tiny vices and found a collection of Kate Moss pictures done by Ryan McGinley. Kinda epic. Check it HERE
